I believe it is safe to say the market today is unique, unlike any other time that I can recall. So, let’s get to the point. Simply put, I am going to share with you the 3 keys to drive revenue for your business in 2018.
It is all about the relationships! If you place purposeful focused energy and resources on stewarding those qualified relationships you will experience a minimum of a 10% growth in revenue. Check out the most important relationships to focus on in 2018.
1. Your Team: Engaged employees are high performers and deliver exceedingly impressive results. So, ask yourself, "Are my employees engaged?" If your answer is maybe or I am not sure, then find out asap. Why? Because if your employees are engaged they perform at a high level and the results for you are higher profit margins.
2. Your Customers: The cost to acquire new customers is much higher than the cost to retain existing customers, plus your existing customers are more likely to buy other products and services you provide because they have an existing, successful relationship with you. My experience has shown me that we have only a 1 in 14 chance of acquiring a new customer. Why? Because they don't know you and there is NO trust. So, focus a minimum of 70% of your time and efforts on your existing customer base.
3. Your Strategic Partners: These amazing people can be referral sources for warm introductions to prospects. Form solid strategic partnerships with your trusted advisors and mentors and all of your vendors including your banker, CPA, attorney, or financial advisor. This group of special relationships will provide you with the guidance and support you need to achieve new levels of success and growth for your business.
The bottom line is that you have to invest in these relationships so that they can and will help you to drive revenue in 2018. While my recommendations may seem so simplistic, you may think that there just has to be more to it – there is not. Keep it simple and focus on these 3 keys for they are crucial to driving revenue for your business in 2018.
